April is an interesting month as an autistic person.

Many speak about Awareness.

Like hello, I exist. It’s a bit dehumanizing to be honest. If you really need a reminder people like me exist, you have some serious work to do.

I don’t love Acceptance either. I shouldn’t have to beg to be accepted. I’m a human with a different neurotype, that’s it.

I don’t know what I would rather call this month. Autistic Visibility month? Still not quite right.

What I do know is you should be listening to and amplifying autistic voices. Not only this month but all year, we are autistic beyond April believe it or not.

I challenge you to find five new autistic creators to follow this month.
